Two of my favorite things, horror and band shirts, when you mix the two you just discovered my #1 weakness.
Horror and music go back as far as music has been around. Some of the scariest stuff out there is pre-rock n'roll. Mussorgsky, Berlioz, Liszt and my all time favorite, Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor used in more horror than you can imagine. In more modern times, music made a gradual deepening of guitar distortion, darker lyrics coming out of the blues from the 1950's to become Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple. The 1970's and 1980's saw the birth of punk and death metal, and the 1990's showed how music can equal big money for this genre in grunge. Whatever you see as being horror, being the Misfits, who sound more like a surfer pop with horror lyrics to Cannibal Corpse with their deep growls and horrific art, it makes a great combination, especially on a shirt. Let us know what you favorite horror music shirt is! - Jay
